Forging a Legacy since 1883

After purchasing Robert Greenerd’s patent for the Arbor Press in 1883, Edwin Bartlett starts Greenerd Arbor Press Company where he, along with MIT, developed a full line of Arbor Presses ranging from ¼ Ton to 30 Tons. Due to increased production demands, in 1903 Bartlett relocates from Boston, Massachusetts to Nashua, New Hampshire, where the business has been located ever since.

From Arbor to Hydraulic

Thirty years later, in 1934, Greenerd builds its first high quality hydraulic press. Since then, Greenerd Arbor Press Company became Greenerd Press & Machine Co., focusing on hydraulic presses and manufacturing equipment. In the many decades since, we have designed and manufactured thousands of presses of all shapes and sizes. We are constantly innovating to use the latest and greatest technologies in our machines to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
