Greenerd recently shipped a 150-ton gap frame hydraulic press for trimming automobile floor mats. This is the second Greenerd press purchased by this customer for this application.
Both presses have oversize tables and moving platens (60" X 48") to accommodate large parts, along with special daylight, stroke and throat.
The operator loads the blanks on a large 16-foot diameter rotary index table. The blanks are then cycled under the steel rule die where they are trimmed.
The press is designed for minimum deflection of the frame, so that the steel rule die will cut evenly both in the front and rear of the tool.
Greenerd was founded in New England in 1883, and since 1934 has produced thousands of hydraulic presses designed and built to stand the rigors of 3-shift manufacturing. |
