Greenerd recently delivered a 30-ton gib-guided hydraulic press with integrated feeder, for producing finished parts from a progressive die.
Greenerd’s press, pictured here, replaces a C-Frame press which was damaging the customer’s dies because of press frame deflection. The new hydraulic press provides .002” parallelism over the entire 48” x 36” bed.
The gib-guided press frame provides good off-center load resistance, resulting in longer die life. The press also has light curtain guarding.
In addition to Greenerd’s hydraulic press, the press cell consists of an integrated feed, straightener, ultra-sonic loop control, and power reel, all built by Dallas Industries. Greenerd acted as integrator for the cell.
Greenerd was founded in New England in 1883, and since 1934 has produced thousands of hydraulic presses designed and built to stand the rigors of 3-shift manufacturing. |
